High School (9-12)

Faith Christian Academy offers multiple academic tracks that include a wide variety of Biblically integrated courses. Students who enroll in the traditional Faith program attend classes on campuses in grades K-12 that upon graduation are designed to prepare them to succeed in college. Students in grades K-12 are required to take traditionally taught courses in Bible, English, Math, Science and Social Studies. Additionally, a variety of elective courses are offered in foreign languages, pre-engineering, the visual arts, speech, drama, choir, band, technology, and physical education. Faith students have access to technology labs on each campus. Special art and science labs are available as well. Additionally, FCHS students may choose to take either advanced placement or dual credit college classes in which they have the opportunity to earn college credit while attending high school.

“Our graduating classes of 2016 and 2018 have been honored with National Merit graduates. These students are recognized for scoring in the top 5% students nationally. Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. “The young men and women being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” commented a spokesperson for NMSC. “These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation.”

FCHS has a Colorado Bar Association Mock Trial team! Federal Judge Michael Hegarty, who is on the FC School Board, started the program at the high school. The Mock Trial competition involves the team working on an actual lawsuit and presenting the case at trial before a real judge, competing against other high school teams in Colorado. During the inaugural year, the team finished 10th in the state out of several hundred schools statewide (24 making it to the state championship).

Academic Blessings Chapel Day

• Seventeen students were inducted into the National Honor Society during the annual Academic Blessings Chapel.
• Ninety seven students achieved high honor roll status at Faith Christian High School for the school year. Students must earn a 3.8 grade point average or higher to be on the high honor roll. Of the 97 high honor roll students, 30 earned a 4.0 for both semesters last year for the first time and 32 earned a 4.0 for a second entire school year.

Christian High School senior Mikayla Martin, participating in speech competitions has brought her confidence throughout her high school career.
“People underestimate high school students,” she said. “Speech has given me a confidence and ability to pick my words and express them properly. Public speaking is one of the most feared things in society, so this gives us an advantage going into college and work.”
Martin was one of eight students from the Faith Christian High School Speech and Debate team to place at the Colorado High School Activities Association State Festival Tournament held last month. In fact, Martin placed first in not one, but two categories: interpretation of drama and contrasting monologues.”
